PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING
Welcome to FairEntry for the 2025 Kanabec County Fair!
FairEntry allows you to register for your 4-H fair projects online without having to send a paper copy of your fair registration to the Extension Office. Registration must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025.
As you are registering your projects, please keep in mind that it is easier to drop entries at fair time, but adding entries late can mean loss of premiums as well as negates your opportunity to earn higher than a blue ribbon or advance to further shows.
Example: If you aren't sure if you are going to bring 1 or 2 indoor gardening projects, be sure to sign up for 2.
Information about the classes available is in the 2025 Premium Book. The Premium Book has been revamped this year, be sure to look through the first several pages (they aren't just for filler) and use the navigation tool on the side to jump to your division. Classes are now listed under the division they are judged in, they are not all just listed on their own in the book anymore. This will make it much easier for signing up for classes if you can utilize it properly. This was a system initiated last year and many families appreciated the new layout so I have brought it back this year. I have also made a cheat sheet with the project areas listed alphabetically.
If you are showing a Livestock Animal (beef, dairy, swine, sheep, meat goat, dairy goat, rabbit, poultry) you will be asked to enter your shirt size for the Fair Show Shirts. This shirt will be required to wear in all livestock classes. This year's shirts are sponsored by East Central Pork Producers.
The fair requires a lot of volunteer assistance to happen successfully. Every 4-H family is asked to contribute to the fair experience by being present at Fair Set Up (Monday, July 23rd) and Fair Clean Up (Monday, July 30th).
Families are also asked to sign up for a shift at the 4-H Food Stand and/or the Malt Stand. These are our biggest fundraisers during the year and source of the majority of our income. This money is used for State Fair Scholarships, day camps, afterschool programs, project development, and much more.
*****REMEMBER***** Youth attending regional/state/national events will receive a 25% Leaders Council Scholarship IF the youth has participated in 2 out of our 3 major fundraisers (Fruit Sale, Food Stand, Malt Stand) - If a youth participated in the fruit sale, they only need to take one shift for the scholarship. If they did NOT participate in the fruit sale, they will need to take TWO shifts.
